The Global Incentive Group's MISSION is to create, manage and execute sales incentive and full-service travel programs for corporate, non-profit and governmental organizations and assist them to increase commerce and create positive economic impact.

Gregg J. Macy

Gregg Macy has been in the travel industry since 1989.  He spent much of his career with Azumano Travel-American Express in Portland Oregon, most recently as Director of Client Services & Business Development.  He was instrumental in building a specialized department within Azumano for meeting planning, special events, incentive services and group air management services.  His team managed group travel services for over 20,000 travelers annually.

Over the years, Gregg has amassed considerable experience in creating customized group programs worldwide. For example, he was responsible for the total organization (including air, ground, hotel, food, & beverage functions, and VIP excursions) for 700+ participants of NASCAR's race in Japan from 1997 – 2000. 

Gregg has handled numerous Board of Directors meetings, sales seminars and meetings, continuing education programs and sales incentives programs for a variety of corporations, non-profits, higher education and government entities. A sample of his client list includes: Oregon® (Blount International), Portland Trail Blazers, Tripwire, Wells Fargo, US Bank, Portland General Electric, Portland Business Alliance, State of Oregon, The Port of Portland, Greater Portland, Portland Bologna Sister City Association, World Forestry Center, Reed College, Pan Pacific Connective Tissue Conference, and Power Equipment Systems.   

Recently, Gregg oversaw incentive award programs in Beijing (Summer Olympics), Tahiti, Hawaii, Italy and is planning future programs in New Zealand and Brazil.

Outside of work Gregg is an ardent gardener and enjoys spending time on his boat relaxing at Lake Merwin.  He has been deeply involved as a community volunteer assisting non-profits in communications and fundraising for Basic Rights Oregon, Our House of Portland, Cascade AIDS Project, and the Japanese Garden. He has also served in various capacities on several boards including Phoenix Rising and is the current president of the Metropolitan Garden Club of Portland, and is also treasurer for the Woodlawn Park Homeowners Association.
